Details of the Job/Internship

Angel One is hiring a Chief Manager / AVP – General Corporate Law with experience of 9–11 years to join their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, vendor, service, and licensing agreements.
• Structure contracts to balance business objectives, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Assist in standardisation and templatisation of contracts.
• Manage trademark applications, filings, and registrations.
• Coordinate with external IP counsel and maintain IP records.
• Provide guidance on data privacy laws and ensure compliance with data handling practices.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments and audits.
• Provide corporate advisory on Companies Act, SEBI regulations, and group structuring.
• Support product advisory, including legal review of new financial products and services.
• Advise on regulatory frameworks issued by SEBI, AMFI, RBI, IRDAI, and other authorities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from an accredited institution and enrolled to practice in India.
• 9–11 years of experience in general corporate law.
• Experience in law firms or corporate legal departments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, contracts, data privacy, and intellectual property.
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in a team.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
