Details of the Job/Internship

EXL is hiring a Legal Counsel with experience of 9–12 years to join their office in Noida, India.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate commercial agreements including MSAs, SOWs, vendor contracts, leases, software licenses, SLAs, NDAs, and RFPs.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks while aligning with business objectives.
• Ensure contracts comply with organisational standards while allowing necessary customisations.
• Take ownership of legal projects and ensure timely completion.
• Assist in special projects supporting business growth within acceptable risk parameters.
• Conduct training and awareness sessions on legal and compliance matters.
• Support team development, mentoring, and process improvement initiatives.

Eligibility

• Graduate/Post Graduate in Law (LL.B.) with a strong academic background.
• 9–12 years of experience, including law firm and in-house corporate exposure.
• Extensive experience with US commercial contracts and companies.
• Strong expertise in contract drafting and negotiation in operations management and professional services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with contract lifecycle tools.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Professional, hardworking, and team-oriented approach.

Salary/Stipend
