Details of the Job/Internship

EZ Capital is hiring for the position of AVP Legal Head with 12-16 years of experience to join their office in New Delhi. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage litigation under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act; ensure timely filings and effective follow-ups.
• Oversee civil and criminal proceedings related to loan recoveries, fraud, and defaults.
• Draft and review loan documents, recovery notices, and other legal correspondences in alignment with NBFC best practices.
• Ensure RBI compliance, conduct internal legal audits, and proactively update internal policies as per evolving regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external legal counsels and law firms; oversee litigation across multiple branch locations.
• Manage and mentor the in-house legal team; ensure accurate tracking and reporting of all legal cases.
• Provide legal advice on collateral enforcement, including repossession of vehicles and property-linked loans.
• Monitor and interpret changes in financial laws and regulatory frameworks impacting NBFC operations.

Eligibility

• 12 to 16 years of post-qualification experience in the legal domain, preferably within the NBFC or BFSI sector.
• Expertise in cheque bounce cases (Sec 138 NI Act), loan recovery litigation, arbitration, and enforcement procedures.
• Strong knowledge of RBI regulations, contract law, consumer lending norms, and recovery mechanisms.
• Ability to handle high-volume litigation across geographies.
• Proven track record in leading legal teams and working cross-functionally with business units.
• LLB/LLM from a reputed institution; Bar Council registration preferred.

Salary/Stipend
