Build My Business is hiring for the position of Business Lawyer to join their office remotely.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements and business contracts.
- Provide clear, business-oriented legal advice on corporate, commercial, and operational matters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, particularly in the areas of data privacy, business registration, and IP protection.
- Identify and manage legal risks, ensuring effective mitigation strategies.
- Support internal teams and clients with legal documentation, including terms of service, NDAs, vendor agreements, and more.
- Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments relevant to startups and SMEs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enable smooth and compliant business operations.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.); JD or equivalent and bar membership in good standing.
- Proven experience in business or commercial law, preferably in a startup or consultancy environment.
- Strong background in contract law, legal advisory, and negotiation.
- Familiarity with data privacy laws and best practices (e.g., GDPR, IT Act compliance).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision.
