Details of the Job/Internship
DBS Bank is hiring a Specialist – Business Legal with 3–4 years of experience to join their Legal, Compliance & Secretariat team in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Advise on legal matters related to trade finance products such as letters of credit, bank guarantees, factoring, and supply chain finance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of legal documents and agreements.
- Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with domestic and international regulations (UCP 600, URDG, ISBP, etc.).
- Provide legal guidance on fintech platforms and TReDS.
- Handle lending transactions, including ECB, FCY, structured finance, and syndicated deals.
- Interpret and advise on key statutes like the Companies Act, IT Act, Factoring Act, and RBI/IFSCA regulations.
- Address regulatory notices, complaints, legal documentation, and training
- Collaborate with internal teams and external legal counsel.
Eligibility
- LLB or LLM from a reputed law college.
- 3–4 years of post-qualification experience in banking or trade finance law.
- Strong drafting, research, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
