Details of the Organization
The feminist discourse in India is not new; it has evolved over decades. The irony, however, lies in the fact that despite having addressed these issues since time immemorial, women and the LGBTQIA+ community continue to be challenged by heteropatriarchy even today.
The Centre for Women, Child Rights and Gender Justice is established with a vision to Strengthen existing knowledge and contribute to the discourse for advocating for the rights of women, children and the LGBTQIA+ community in the Indian and Global Perspective. Often, in the feminist movement, the interests of the LGBTQIA+ community gets sidelined and the Centre aims to be as inclusive as possible in its approach by highlighting the needs of this community. Children are the hope for the future and are also the most vulnerable section of society. The Center endeavours to build awareness among the youth regarding their rights. The Center will collaborate with National and International organizations to redress the concern and grievances of women and develop collaborative programs and projects for the cause of women law, gender justice and child rights.
