Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, established under the Maharashtra Act VI of 2014, is one of the premier National Law Universities in India. The Act envisaged to establish National Law University in Maharashtra to impart advanced legal education and promote society-oriented research in legal studies for the advancement of societal life of the people in the country.

Due to an observable lack of legal academia dedicated to Environmental Law in India, the Justice M. L. Pendse Chair in Environmental Law aims to foster legal environmental education by promoting and undertaking research activities exclusively in the field, in collaboration with national and international stakeholders.
- The Chair is pleased to announce its edited book on ‘Environmental Law, Policy, and Compliance’.
- Top papers from this call will be published in the edited book (with an ISSN) by our publishing partners - Bharat Law House.
- Prof (Dr.) Dilip Ukey (Vice-chancellor, MNLU Mumbai) and Ms. Shweta Bhuyan (Research Assistant and Ph.D. Scholar, MNLU Mumbai) are the editors of this book.

Types of Submission and Word Limit
Word Limit: 3000-5000 words (inclusive of footnotes).
Submission Guidelines
- Co-authorship: Up to 2 authors.
- Citation Style: OSCOLA (4 th ed.).
- Plagiarism / Similarity Index Ceiling: up to 10%.
Formatting Guidelines
- Main Body: Times New Roman with font size being 12 and 1.5 line spacing.
- Footnote: Times New Roman with font size being 10 and 1.0 line spacing.
