The GNLU Student Law Review (GSLR) is the flagship student-edited, double-blind peer-reviewed law journal of Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar. The journal publishes scholarly work from students, academicians, researchers and legal practitioners, fostering high-quality legal discourse on contemporary issues. Volume VII will be published in June 2026.

Details of the Blog/Paper

Contemporary legal issues across all fields of law. Comparative and interdisciplinary perspectives are encouraged.

Types of Submission and Word Limit

• Article: 4500–8000 words
• Book Review: 4500–8000 words
• Case Note: 2500–4500 words
• Legislative Comment: 2000–4000 words

Submission Guidelines

• Authorship:
  • Up to 3 authors allowed for articles.
  • Maximum 2 co-authors for other categories.
• Originality:
  • Exclusive submission required.
  • Manuscript must not be submitted elsewhere until accepted/rejected by GSLR.
• Editorial & Plagiarism Policy:
  • No plagiarised content.
  • UGC Academic Integrity & Plagiarism Regulations (2018) apply.
  • Authors must incorporate all editorial suggestions before final acceptance.
• AI Policy:
  • AI-generated substantive content or citations are NOT permitted.
  • AI may only be used for proofreading or basic restructuring.
• Manuscript Structure:
  • Abstract: 200–250 words
  • 4–5 keywords
  • Introduction, Main Body, Conclusion

Formatting Guidelines

• Font: Garamond
• Main text: 12 pt, line spacing 1.5
• Footnotes: 10 pt, single spacing
• Citation Style:
• Bluebook 21st Edition (footnotes only)
• Speaking/substantive footnotes allowed with justification
• No endnotes, references, or bibliography
• Strict adherence to the GSLR Style Guide is mandatory.
