The International Journal of Law, Culture and Society (IJLCS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access, quarterly academic journal established by distinguished alumni and students of National Law School of India University (NLSIU) and National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU).

Types of Submission and Word Limit

• Research Articles: 4,000–8,000 words
• Case Notes / Legislative Reviews: 2,000–4,000 words
• Book Reviews: 1,500–3,000 words
• Short Commentaries: Up to 2,000 words

Submission Guidelines

• Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere
• Plagiarism must be below 15% (excluding references)
• AI-generated or AI-assisted content is strictly prohibited
• Submissions must be anonymised for double-blind peer review
• Each submission must include:
  • Abstract (250–300 words)
  • Five keywords
  • Title page with author details
  • Declaration of originality

Formatting Guidelines

• File format: MS Word (.docx)
• Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
• Line spacing: 1.5
• Margins: 1 inch on all sides
• Headings: Numbered with consistent hierarchy
• Citation Style: Harvard Bluebook (20th Edition)

No submission fee.
Article Processing Charges (APC) payable only after acceptance:

Indian Authors:

Single author: ₹1,500

Two authors: ₹2,000

International Authors:

Single author: USD 40

Two authors: USD 50
