The Mumbai Centre For International Arbitration (MCIA) is a first-of-its-kind international arbitration institution headquartered in Mumbai with secretarial offices in Bangalore and New Delhi. The MCIA is the result of a joint effort between domestic and international arbitration and the business community.
Details of the Job/Internship
Mumbai Centre For International Arbitration is hiring a Case Manager with experience of 1 to 3 years to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Reviewing and processing requests for arbitration, and other documents filed by parties, arbitrators, and others during arbitration proceedings.
- Preparing briefs for the MCIA Council on decisions it is required to take as per the MCIA Rules.
- Monitoring advance on costs on parties as per the MCIA Schedule of Fees.
- Managing correspondence and interactions with parties and arbitral tribunals concerning all aspects of case management.
- Assist the team in the organisation of conferences and other events including the India ADR Week and International Arbitration Conference, Ahmedabad.
- Having a strong understanding of institutional arbitration and MCIA Rules, allows you to answer general queries about the MCIA arbitral process.
Eligibility
- Law Degree (LLB or equivalent) with relevant experience in international arbitration.
- At least 1-3 years PQE;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skill.
- The ability to work well in a team.
Salary/Stipend
