Details of the Job/Internship
Paul Merchants Finance is hiring for the position of Chief Compliance Officer with 10-12 years of experience to join their office in Chandigarh.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the compliance function for NBFC and PPI operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to RBI regulations, Master Directions, AML/KYC norms, and DPDP guidelines.
- Manage all RBI-related interactions including filings, inspections, and regulatory responses.
- Develop, update, and implement compliance frameworks, policies, and processes.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks through effective monitoring systems.
- Serve as the primary liaison with RBI and other regulators, ensuring smooth communication.
- Present compliance reports and updates to the Board of Directors and Senior Management.
- Foster a compliance-first culture through continuous training and awareness initiatives.
Eligibility
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Law, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
- 10–12 years of proven experience in compliance or regulatory roles within NBFCs, Banks, or Payment System Operators.
- Strong knowledge of RBI NBFC guidelines, PPI regulations, AML/KYC norms, and corporate governance frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance regulatory expectations with business objectives.
