Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MAHATRANSCO), a wholly owned corporate entity under the Maharashtra Government, was incorporated under the Companies Act, in June, 2005 after restructuring the erstwhile Maharashtra State Electricity Board to transmit electricity from its point of Generation to its point of Distribution.

Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited invites applications from experienced, dynamic, talented and professional candidates for the position of Chief Legal Advisor.

PERIOD OF CONTRACT OR DEPUTATION:

• The tenure/period of Deputation or Contract as the case may be shall be for a period of 3 years from the date of joining which can be extended up to 2 years depending on the performance of the incumbent or till attaining the age of 67 years whichever is earlier.
• The continuation of selected candidate in service will be subject to his / her performance assessment which will be conducted after completion of every year.

Eligibility

Essential:

• Degree in Law of recognized University with minimum 50% Marks.
• Minimum 07 years’ experience as an Advocate. Out of total 07 years’ experience, minimum 03 years’ experience of actual practice / litigation in High Court as an Advocate Or a serving/ retired District Judge and its equivalent.
• The upper age limit for applying the post is 62 years for all candidates. 

Desirable:

• First Class in Degree of Law.
• Masters Degree in Business Law or Business related equivalent. 
• Experience in Transmission Sector.
• Experience of State/Central PSU or State/Central Government.

 

Salary/Stipend

The selected candidate will draw salary in the pay scale of Rs. 140655-5980- 272215.
