Details of the Job/Internship

Jasper Colin is looking for a candidate for the position of Chief Legal Counsel with 15 years of experience to join them at their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal guidance and support to the executive team and department heads.
• Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential liabilities.
• Handle corporate governance matters, including board meetings, corporate filings, and compliance with corporate policies.
• Build and Scale the legal team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of legal developments, industry trends, and best practices relevant to the market research sector.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and other legal matters as needed.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel and other advisors to address complex legal issues and support business objectives.
• Provide legal guidance on intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and data protection.

Eligibility

• Minimum of 15 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on corporate law and commercial transactions.
• Previous experience in the market research/ consulting/ SaaS industry or a related field is preferred.
• Proven track record of providing strategic legal advice to senior executives and managing legal risks in a corporate environment.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience drafting a wide range of contracts and legal documents.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience managing and developing a legal team.
• High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to upholding the highest levels of professionalism and confidentiality.
