Details of the Job/Internship

Mamla Karo is hiring a Chief legal officer to join them remotely. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Strategic Operations: Do whatever it takes to build Mamla Karo into a leading LegalTech company.
• Research & Content Validation: Conduct in-depth research on legal topics and help content creators simplify legal jargon for wider audiences. Validate and approve content to ensure compliance with legal standards.
• Content Creation & SEO: Collaborate on SEO-friendly blogs using targeted keywords to increase traffic. Ensure the content is legally accurate, engaging, and aligned with the brand’s vision.
• Onboarding Advocates: Reach out to advocates, onboard them into the system, and manage their KYC verification process through calls and other channels.
• Daily Operations Management: Oversee daily tasks such as document dispatch, service delivery issues, and lawyer-related concerns, ensuring smooth operations.
• Collaboration & Problem-Solving: Collaborate with the Chief Legal Advisor and address relevant operational challenges.
• Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-quality team to support Mamla Karo’s vision.
• P&L Management: Maintain and optimize overall profit and loss to ensure financial sustainability.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Mamla Karo in investor meetings and collaborate with key stakeholders to secure funding and partnerships.

• Excellent research and writing skills with a knack for simplifying complex legal terms.
• SEO knowledge to create traffic-driven blogs.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong interpersonal skills for onboarding advocates and managing relationships.
• Experience in operations management and team leadership.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
