Details of the Job/Internship

Serentica is hiring a Chief Manager – Legal to join their office in Gurugram.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review and manage a wide range of commercial contracts, including Power Purchase Agreements, EPC Contracts (Wind & Solar), Module Supply Agreements, WTG Contracts, O&M Contracts, Financing Agreements, M&A transactions, Land Aggregation MOUs, Service/Consultancy Contracts, NDAs, Lease and Sale Agreements, and other company contracts for wind and solar projects (C&I – Captive, Open Access & Utility).
• Assist in formulating strategy for resolution of contractual disputes and closure of transactions.
• Provide timely, accurate, independent and commercially pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders while managing legal and commercial risk during the project cycle.
• Create awareness of and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Provide legal validation of company processes and policies, including business development, human resources, finance, commercial, and land acquisition.
• Support creation of security in favour of lenders.
• Liaise with, engage and manage external counsels and vendors.
• Advise the company on land matters to mitigate risks, disputes, and litigation related to private land purchases.
• Coordinate with acquisition vendors and assist panel advocates in preparation and finalization of title reports.
• Prepare MIS reports.
• Draft and vet notices and responses. Maintain records of legal notices, regulatory and compliance matters, and litigation (if any).
• Provide day-to-day legal support across all phases of the project life cycle in India.

Salary/Stipend
