Details of the Job/Internship
Kotak Life is hiring a Chief Manager – Litigation with 3+ years of experience to join their office in Goregaon (East), Mumbai. The role involves handling litigation and legal affairs of the company, including drafting replies to legal notices, coordinating with departments for case details, and following up with advocates for case representation.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct fact-finding of cases by collating documents and information from different departments.
- Draft replies to legal notices and consumer complaints.
- Draft replies and written statements in response to cases filed against the company.
- Handle criminal cases and liaise with police authorities.
- Coordinate and follow up with advocates for effective case representation.
- Update case details and next hearing dates in MIS.
- Undertake legal research on relevant topics.
- Prepare legal MIS for monitoring litigation.
- Travel, if required, for court cases, FIRs, or police complaints.
- Address legal queries from other departments.
Eligibility
- LLB / LLM.
- Minimum 3 years of experience (preferably in insurance, corporate litigation, or law firms).
- Strong legal understanding.
- Good analytical ability.
- Strong drafting and communication skills.
