Details of the Job/Internship
Sterlite is hiring a Chief Manager – Legal to handle contract management, legal advisory, and risk mitigation for its infrastructure projects in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and vet contracts including supply and service contracts, EPC agreements, O&M agreements, HR/admin contracts, transmission and utility contracts, international contracts, NDAs, MOUs, T&Cs, and financing contracts.
- Ensure legal and commercial risk mitigation, compliance with applicable laws, and alignment with internal policies.
- Provide detailed legal opinions on bidding strategy, RoW and land acquisition, TSAs, SPAs, indemnity claims, and payment disputes.
- Conduct land-related legal due diligence and title verification for project development, assessing risks associated with land procurement and RoW.
- Review final bid submissions, handle bid-related legal queries, and perform legal due diligence for SPV acquisitions post-project awards.
- Engage in negotiations with external stakeholders and finalize contracts ensuring favorable legal positioning while supporting business objectives.
- Perform thorough risk analysis before entering into agreements/contracts.
Eligibility
Strong experience in contract drafting, legal advisory, due diligence, and negotiation in infrastructure projects.
