Details of the Job/Internship
Peritum Partners is hiring a Civil & Commercial Litigation Associate with 1–2 years of PQE to join their office in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle civil and commercial litigation matters before the High Court and subordinate courts.
- Draft pleadings, applications, case briefs, and client updates.
- Manage court procedures and coordinate matters.
- Coordinate with clients, senior counsel, and internal teams.
- Participate in client meetings and strategy discussions.
Eligibility
- 1–2 years of PQE.
- Demonstrable experience appearing before the High Court and trial courts.
- Strong grounding in civil and commercial laws, with original side practice preferred.
- Ability to independently draft pleadings, applications, case briefs, and client updates.
- Sound legal research skills.
- Experience in coordinating with clients, senior counsel, and internal teams.
- Participation in client meetings and strategy discussions.
- Fluency in English and Tamil, both spoken and written.
- Must be based in Chennai.
