Details of the Job/Internship

Legabyte Innovations Pvt Ltd is hiring for the position of Co-Founder Legal with 2+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

Legal Strategy & Compliance

• Define Legabyte’s legal framework, ensuring full compliance with the Bar Council of India, Data Protection Laws, GDPR, IT Act, and relevant Indian legal frameworks.

AI-Legal System Architecture

• Work with product teams to ensure our AI systems align with legal standards, contextual relevance, and jurisdiction-specific logic.

Regulatory & Risk Oversight

• Advise on what’s legally permissible as we build and scale, especially regarding AI, privacy, and consumer law.

Thought Leadership & Content Creation

• Act as the public face of Legabyte’s legal vision—create engaging legal content for platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and help build organic visibility and brand authority.

Partnership Development

• Forge relationships with law firms, bar associations, regulators, and key players in the legal ecosystem.

User Trust & Legal Advocacy

• Champion transparency and user rights to help establish trust in the platform and reinforce legitimacy.

Co-Founder Collaboration

• Work closely with the Tech/Product Co-Founder on developing the MVP, defining go-to-market strategies, and shaping the scaling roadmap.

Eligibility

• LLB (Mandatory); LLM preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of practice in Indian courts or at a major law firm.
• Strong understanding of:
• Indian legal systems and case law structures.
• Bar Council of India guidelines.
• Data Privacy, GDPR, IT Act.
• Not currently employed full-time in another job or startup.
• Comfortable being a public representative of the brand on digital platforms.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, high ownership, and self-drive.
• Willing to invest ₹50,000 INR (in return for 50% co-founder equity) as a demonstration of commitment.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
