Details of the Job/Internship

Elevate is hiring a Commercial Attorney with experience of 4–6 years to join their Contracts - Managed Services team in India. The role involves working closely with in-house legal departments and business teams to review, redline, and negotiate contracts, while contributing to improving contractual infrastructure, workflows, and processes, both independently and collaboratively.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, redline, and negotiate customer and third-party contracts and transactional documents.
• Review contracts against established standards and negotiate acceptable alternatives.
• Compare contracts and identify differences and similarities in templates.
• Facilitate escalation, approvals, and execution of contracts.
• Update or draft playbooks and templates.
• Conduct legal research and prepare position statements.
• Understand contractual terms and fallback positions and work with CLM tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients on contractual processes and projects.

Eligibility

• LL.B. degree; LL.M. is a plus.
• 4–6 years of legal practice with at least 3 years of experience in commercial transactional support.
• Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including services and supply agreements, software licenses, SAAS agreements, and procurement contracts.
• Experience in legal research and memorandum drafting.
• Experience in client-facing contract review and negotiation roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with contract management or workflow software is a plus.
• Strong writing, redlining, and communication skills.
• Ability to assess contractual risk and work in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
