Details of the Job/Internship

LabVantage Solutions, Inc. is hiring a Commercial Attorney with 5–7 years of experience in SaaS, software licensing, and technology services agreements to join their hybrid office in Kolkata.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate non-standard software, services, and SaaS agreements, including related security addenda, NDAs, and Data Protection Agreements.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the Sales team to drive deal closure.
• Develop standard templates and alternate negotiation positions.
• Review legal terms in RFPs and provide guidance to the proposal manager.
• Partner with Sales and Services teams to meet customer needs.
• Train Sales and Services teams on best practices and emerging issues.
• Participate in deal review calls, QBRs, and Sales team meetings.
• Assist with corporate governance and compliance issues.
• Perform additional projects as requested.

Eligibility

• LL.B. degree (3-year or 5-year) from a law college or university recognized by the Bar Council of India or any reputed foreign university.
• 5–7 years of experience drafting and negotiating SaaS, software licensing, and technology services agreements.
• Prior in-house legal experience.
• Strong oral and written communication in English.
• Clear legal drafting without “legalese.”
• Strong commercial judgment and understanding of deal structures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to drive win-win solutions.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize during high-volume periods, and maintain schedule flexibility.
• Highly organized, customer-focused, innovative, and detail-oriented.
• Transparent, professional, open to feedback, and able to facilitate change.
• Experience supporting HR teams and employment legal issues (preferred).

Salary/Stipend
