Details of the Job/Internship

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP is hiring a Commercial Contracts Attorney with 2 years of experience to join their office in New York City Metropolitan Area. The role involves working closely with the Assistant General Counsel to review, negotiate, and draft a variety of commercial contracts and vendor agreements while providing practical legal advice under tight deadlines.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review, negotiate, and draft a wide range of commercial contracts and vendor agreements, including software licences, hardware, hosted services, consulting, and recruiting agreements.
• Conduct due diligence reviews of vendors.
• Handle confidential information with discretion and professional responsibility.
• Participate in continuing education and conduct research to enhance competencies.
• Work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities while providing practical legal advice.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in contract law and drafting.
• Previous experience in a law firm, professional services, or consulting firm preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and track assignments.
• Motivated individual with enthusiasm for learning and a positive attitude.

Salary/Stipend
