Details of the Job/Internship
Teams Squared is hiring a Commercial Lawyer (Property) with a minimum of 5 years of experience to manage UK residential and/or commercial conveyancing matters in a remote setup. The role involves handling end-to-end conveyancing transactions, ensuring compliance with UK property laws, and coordinating with clients and third parties while managing high-volume caseloads independently.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage residential and/or commercial conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and solicitors throughout the conveyancing process.
- Conduct title checks and review contracts, leasehold, and freehold terms.
- Draft and review transfers, completion statements, and other property-related legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with UK conveyancing regulations, including AML and client due diligence.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks at an early stage.
- Use case management systems effectively and maintain accurate and organized records.
Eligibility
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a conveyancing paralegal in a UK legal setting.
- Strong understanding of the UK property transaction process, Land Registry requirements, and SDLT filing.
- Ability to independently manage high-volume caseloads with accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with case management software such as LEAP, Proclaim, or similar.
- Prior experience in a remote or legal process outsourcing environment is preferred.
