Details of the Job/Internship

Kosol Energie Pvt Ltd is urgently hiring a Commercial Legal Executive / Commercial Legal Counsel with 5–10+ years of experience to support its operations in Ahmedabad. The role involves drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial and EPC contracts while ensuring legal compliance and minimizing risk, with a strong focus on the solar and renewable energy sector. The position requires close collaboration with sales, procurement, project, finance, and operations teams, and includes advisory, compliance, and contract management responsibilities.

Role and Responsibilities

Contract Management:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and EPC contracts, including NDAs, supplier agreements, customer contracts, sub-contracts, distribution agreements, licensing agreements, and SLAs.
• Identify legal, financial, and operational risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.
• Develop and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks.

Legal Advisory:

• Provide practical, business-focused legal advice on EPC and commercial matters.
• Support contract negotiations and project discussions in line with company policies and risk appetite.
• Advise on contractual rights, obligations, variations, claims, and remedies.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance frameworks.
• Support compliance initiatives relating to data protection, competition law, consumer protection, and renewable energy regulations.
• Assist in managing disputes, claims, notices, and contractual escalations.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with sales, procurement, project, finance, and operations teams.
• Coordinate with external counsel for complex or high-value matters.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate contract records and CLM systems.
• Track renewals, amendments, milestones, and key contractual obligations.
• Prepare legal summaries, risk reports, and management updates.

Eligibility

• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• 5–10+ years of experience in commercial legal or contracts-focused roles.
• Hands-on EPC contract experience in the solar or renewable energy industry is highly preferred.

Salary/Stipend
