Trexquant Investment LP is hiring for the position of Compliance Analyst with 4-7 years of experience to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the US Compliance team to support and maintain the firm’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) programs.
- Review investor Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation for completeness and compliance.
- Conduct OFAC and global sanctions screening, due diligence on counterparties and contractors, and escalate potential concerns.
- Monitor internal employee communications and Code of Ethics obligations across India and China offices, ensuring adherence to firm policies and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze operational and trade activity reports (e.g., short sales, futures, reportable events) to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist in compliance audits, risk assessments, and regulatory reviews in coordination with the US team.
- Ensure adherence to Indian corporate, labor, and employment laws, including statutory filings and regulatory interactions.
- Act as a liaison with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies, as needed.
Eligibility
- 4–7 years of compliance experience, preferably in a quantitative investment firm, technology company, or systematic trading environment.
- Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree (legal, business, or technical) preferred.
- Familiarity with AML regulations, OFAC sanctions, and global compliance tools.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working independently in a satellite office environment.
- Working knowledge of Indian legal and regulatory frameworks (e.g., corporate governance, employment law) is an advantage.
- Certifications such as CAMS, ICA in AML, or IACCP are a plus.
- High proficiency in English (written and verbal) is required.
