Details of the Job/Internship
QL Partners (formerly Quasar Legal) is hiring a Compliance Coordinator to join them in Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensuring all corporate processes and procedures comply with the organization's operations, scope and domains.
- Coordinate with the legal team (internal and external) to ensure that all applicable corporate processes and procedures comply with the law.
- Ensuring the organization's operations comply with internal policies and standards.
- Identify process gaps from the organization's group's policies, support in implementation and bridge the gaps.
- Coordinate with various department heads or SPOCs for the implementation of all policies.
- Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organization.
- Support the Compliance Officer in writing, modifying and communicating such policies and their requirements, at various levels, including the conducting of training.
- Understand the organization's operations, structure and the heads/owners of each compliance topics/area.
- Continually review the work implemented by others (Function Heads, SPOCs).
- Ensure that findings from the review are recorded and followed up with management promptly.
- Collaborate with inter and intra departments to create a culture of integrity and compliance.
- Be reliable, showcasing commitment and unity in relation to the organization's regulations and procedures.
- It is crucial that they demonstrate strong ethics, integrity and an unbiased work culture to their colleagues and lead by example.
- Perform risk assessments to understand risk level, significance, scope and ownership. Report to business functions on current risk and compliance performance.
- Highlight or escalate areas of concern to the Compliance Officer.
Eligibility
- Graduate (any, including accountancy and CS, preferably with knowledge in law).
- PQE: 2-3 years.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Ability to analyse and interpret information quickly.
- Multi-tasking ability.
- Polished people skills and ability to work well with colleagues.
- Good communication skills.
- Good writing skills (planning and outlining, editing, revising, spelling and grammar, documenting a process for someone else to learn it summarizing a meeting in an email for all attendees from any Compliance meeting, Crafting a mass email to send to all associates).
Salary/Stipend
