Details of the Job/Internship
JLL is looking for a candidate for the position of Compliance Executive with 8+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru East.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and programs.
- Monitor and interpret changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization's operations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee internal audits and compliance reviews across all business units.
- Investigate reported compliance violations and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors.
- Provide guidance and advisory support to management on compliance-related matters.
- Establish and maintain an effective compliance reporting system, including a confidential hotline.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board of directors.
- Collaborate with Legal, HR, and other departments to address compliance concerns.
- Manage the compliance budget and resources effectively.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in compliance management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators and industry associations.
- Lead and mentor the compliance team, ensuring their professional development and effectiveness.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CAMS) preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., FCPA, AML, GDPR, SOX).
- Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies.
- Excellent understanding of risk assessment and management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity.
