ApnaMart is hiring for the position Compliance Lead with 5-8 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee internal compliance policies, processes, and controls across retail functions.
- Conduct regular compliance audits, risk assessments, and gap analyses across store operations, supply chain, and digital channels.
- Ensure all statutory licenses and registrations (FSSAI, GST, Labour, etc.) are obtained, renewed, and maintained in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities and internal teams to ensure seamless regulatory communication and compliance.
- Train and guide employees on compliance protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory developments.
- Monitor adherence to laws and standards relevant to retail operations including FDI norms, pricing regulations, POS systems, and data protection laws.
- Lead internal investigations related to compliance breaches and recommend appropriate corrective or disciplinary actions.
- Support cross-functional departments (Legal, HR, Procurement, Store Operations) in evaluating compliance in contracts, vendor relationships, and operations.
- Ensure marketing and promotional practices are compliant with advertising standards, labeling norms, and consumer protection requirements.
- Track emerging legal and regulatory trends (e.g., ESG, CSR, digital commerce) and advise senior leadership on strategic compliance initiatives.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Compliance certifications (e.g., CCEP, ICA, etc.) are an added advantage.
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in compliance management, ideally within the retail, FMCG, or e-commerce sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Indian regulatory environment including labor laws, FSSAI, GST, and digital/retail compliance norms.
- Experience in conducting internal audits, handling regulatory inspections, and managing compliance reporting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
