Details of the Job/Internship

Yubi Group is hiring for the position of Compliance Lead to join their office in Chennai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify, monitor, and mitigate compliance-related risks across fintech offerings.
• Oversee and strengthen AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) programs.
• Ensure organization-wide adherence to data privacy, cybersecurity, and consumer protection laws.
• Collaborate with product and tech teams to integrate compliance controls seamlessly into new and existing products.
• Provide ongoing compliance training and advisory support to internal teams.
• Monitor evolving regulations (SEBI, RBI, IRDAI, etc.) and proactively update policies and processes.
• Act as the point of contact for regulatory audits, inspections, and investigations.
• Maintain strong working relationships with regulators and industry associations.
• Lead and mentor the compliance team to foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and regulatory adherence.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Company Secretary (CS) qualification or relevant certifications (e.g., NISM for Mutual Funds & PMS) strongly preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience in a compliance role within Indian financial services, preferably in fintech.
• Proven expertise in:
  • SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, AMFI guidelines
  • SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations
  • Equity & bond market regulations, Companies Act
  • IRDAI guidelines for insurance distribution and policyholder protection
• Sound knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk management, and compliance technology solutions.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable business practices.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth tech-driven environment.

Salary/Stipend
