Details of the Job/Internship
Aster DM Healthcare Limited is hiring for the position of Compliance Manager with 3-5 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Maintain a centralized compliance database for all statutory licenses and regulatory requirements relevant to Aster DM Healthcare’s India operations.
- Ensure timely updates and tracking of compliance tasks through the AVACOM system across all units.
- Research and stay informed about specific licensing and compliance obligations across various legal specializations within the organization.
- Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive compliance program that covers all hospitals and departments, aligning with Indian regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to track and ensure timely closure of compliance activities.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments regularly to identify potential non-compliance and mitigate risks across the following areas:
- Medical Council of India (MCI) regulations
- National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) norms
- Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010
- Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016
- Data Protection laws relevant to healthcare (including emerging regulations)
- Other applicable laws (HR, Corporate, GST, IT, etc.)
- Develop and deliver training programs for all employees—including clinical and administrative staff—to enhance awareness and adherence to Indian healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
- Investigate compliance concerns raised by internal or external stakeholders and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken.
- Actively follow up on non-compliances identified during audits, ensuring timely resolution and remediation.
- Provide ongoing guidance to hospital leadership and staff on compliance obligations and updates.
Eligibility
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related professional field (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Law is a strong advantage.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the Indian healthcare industry, with hands-on exposure to regulatory compliance.
- In-depth understanding of Indian healthcare laws, particularly those mentioned under responsibilities.
- Proven experience in developing and managing end-to-end compliance frameworks within healthcare organizations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and guide stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical approach to navigating India’s regulatory environment.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results under deadlines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential; proficiency in Malayalam is mandatory.
