MTC Group is hiring for the position of Compliance Manager to join their Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Government Relations: Serve as the primary liaison between the company and various government departments, regulatory bodies, and local authorities for all matters related to approvals, permits, licenses, and regulatory filings.
- Regulatory Submissions: Ensure timely submission of documents, applications, and forms required for regulatory compliance (e.g., tax filings, labor law registrations, environmental clearances).
- Advocacy and Negotiation: Represent the company in meetings with government entities and regulators, advocating for the company’s interests while ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with external stakeholders, including government officials, regulatory agencies, and industry associations.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that the company complies with all applicable local, state, and national laws and regulations, including but not limited to environmental, health & safety, labour, tax, and corporate governance.
- Compliance Monitoring: Conduct regular assessments and audits of internal processes to identify potential compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Policy and Procedure Oversight: Assist in developing and updating internal compliance policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and prepare regular compliance reports for management and regulatory bodies.
