Details of the Job/Internship
Astra Tech is hiring a Compliance Officer with 5–7 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure legal compliance with national and international data protection laws.
- Monitor, review, and update compliance policies and practices.
- Coordinate with global teams on cross-border regulatory alignment.
- Lead or assist with breach management and regulatory incident response.
- Manage legal proceedings involving third-party content and platform duties.
- Draft internal compliance documentation and conduct staff training.
- Oversee whistleblower channels and ethical governance.
- Use RegTech tools for monitoring and reporting.
- Liaise with authorities and external legal advisors as needed.
- Conduct internal audits and support external compliance evaluations.
- Prepare reports for senior management and audit committees.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5–7 years of relevant compliance experience, preferably in the IT or digital sector.
- Strong knowledge of the IT Act, 2000, Intermediary Rules, 2021, and DPDPA 2023.
- Familiarity with GDPR, cross-border data laws, and digital platform regulations.
