Details of the Job/Internship
Cognite is hiring a compliance officer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join them at their Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Working with legal tech tools to automate the legal department.
- Provide direction for, review and recommend approval of Business Integrity and Compliance plans, ensuring alignment between the various teams at Cognite.
- Document and report findings from assessments and incidents to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner with plans for improvement and monitoring of corrective actions.
- Maintain and communicate the Code of Conduct, the Anti-Corruption Policy, the Third Party Representative Policy, GDPR Policy etc.
- Company wide compliance and ethics training.
- Obtain and redistribute KPI’s within compliance.
- Annually review corporate responsibility and ensure compliance with legal. requirements and internationally recognized reporting guidelines.
- Norwegian Transparency Act Due Diligence and reporting.
- Customer, partner and vendor background checks and compliance due diligence.
- ESG compliance, including EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
- Support the India office and the global legal team with ad-hoc legal tasks.
Eligibility
- Master's degree in Law.
- Minimum 3 years relevant legal experience (in-house legal department, private law firm or relevant authorities), preferably from the technology field.
- In depth experience with working with compliance.
- Practical and commercial mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, often with tight deadlines, with understanding of the legal in-house role.
- Positive attitude.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English.
