Details of the Job/Internship
Emerge Legal is hiring a Compliance Officer with experience of handling regulatory and licensing matters to lead their Licenses & Permits Team in Ludhiana.
Role and Responsibilities
- Maintain an updated tracker for licenses, renewals, registrations, and approvals.
- Ensure timely renewals to prevent non-compliance and penalties.
- Liaise with counsels, consultants, and vendors for filings and documentation.
- Keep records (digital and physical) of all license-related files and applications.
- Collaborate with internal teams for compliance documents and inputs.
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory notices.
- Draft formal communications and prepare compliance reports.
- Track regulatory changes and circulate updates with action points.
- Maintain SOPs, templates, and compliance checklists.
- Assist in closing audit findings and responding to show-cause notices.
Eligibility
- Law degree or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in regulatory compliance and team management.
- Strong knowledge of statutory frameworks like S&E, Trade, CLRA, Drugs, Fire, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
