Details of the Job/Internship

Everrenew is hiring a Compliance officer to join them in Chennai office. 

Role and Responsibilities

Compliance Program Management:

• Implement and manage an effective regional compliance program that aligns with global standards and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all compliance activities.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations.

Advisory and Strategy:

• Advise management on legal and regulatory compliance matters, ensuring that all business practices conform to legal standards.
• Create and manage action plans in response to audit findings and compliance violations.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

• Assess operations and procedures to identify compliance risks and process vulnerabilities, proposing modifications as needed.
• Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation controls and make necessary adjustments.
• Develop and maintain a risk register to track and monitor identified risks.

Investigative Leadership:

• Lead local compliance investigations and assist with central investigations, resolving compliance issues efficiently.
• Address and resolve employee concerns regarding compliance matters

Eligibility

• Educational Background: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Law
• Experience: At least 20 years of proven experience in a compliance officer role, with significant exposure to regional regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge and Skills: Excellent knowledge of regional regulations and legal frameworks related to compliance. Fluent in English, Tamil and Hindi. Strong communication skills, capable of interacting effectively both internally and externally. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and issues, resolving them with high effectiveness and minimal supervision.
