Details of the Job/Internship
FatakPay is hiring for the position of Compliance Officer with 5-10 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with applicable laws including RBI regulations, Digital Lending Guidelines, PMLA, KYC/AML norms, NBFC Master Directions, and the IT Act.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulators such as the RBI—manage inspections, respond to queries, and oversee regulatory filings.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory changes and initiate timely internal updates and training.
- Submit all regulatory returns and reports within prescribed timelines.
Audit & Risk Oversight:
- Conduct regular compliance audits, testing, and risk assessments to identify gaps and enforce corrective measures.
- Prepare for statutory, internal, and external audits; resolve audit queries and maintain audit-readiness.
- Develop and implement compliance and governance frameworks aligned with regulatory expectations.
Policy & Governance:
- Draft and update compliance-related policies, SOPs, and internal control frameworks.
- Lead the implementation of the whistleblower policy and incident reporting mechanisms.
- Provide regular board-level reports on compliance metrics and risk posture.
- Advise management on compliance implications of contracts, partnerships, and new product initiatives.
Training & Culture Building:
- Conduct compliance training across teams and promote a culture of ethical behavior and regulatory accountability.
- Provide guidance on day-to-day compliance queries and emerging risks.
Eligibility
Education (any one or more):
- CA / CS / LL.B / MBA / PG in Finance, Law, Risk Management, or Compliance
Experience:
- 5–10 years in compliance or risk management roles within NBFCs, fintech firms, or banks
- In-depth knowledge of RBI regulatory frameworks and the digital lending ecosystem
- Experience managing audits, risk assessments, and regulatory engagements
Preferred:
- Prior experience with early- or growth-stage fintech NBFCs
- Familiarity with RBI Digital Lending Guidelines and data protection standards
- Exposure to RegTech platforms and compliance automation tools
Salary/Stipend
