Details of the Job/Internship

Legalixir is hiring for the position of Compliance Officer with 5-10 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with SEBI, RBI, RERA, AML/KYC, and other applicable regulations.
• Design, implement, and monitor internal compliance frameworks.
• Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, legal counsel, and auditors.
• Manage timely regulatory filings, disclosures, and contractual obligations.
• Deliver compliance training and promote corporate governance practices.

Investment Committee & Risk Oversight

• Actively engage in Investment Committee meetings, offering risk and compliance insights.
• Evaluate legal, regulatory, and financial risks of real estate investments and fund structures.
• Recommend and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with finance and investment teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Review contracts, due diligence reports, and deal structures for compliance accuracy.

Stakeholder Support & Legal Advisory

• Support investor due diligence processes and legal documentation.
• Provide strategic input on contracts, regulatory interpretations, and compliance risks.
• Keep abreast of legal and regulatory updates affecting the investment landscape.
• Assist business teams with legal reviews and regulatory alignment.

Eligibility

• Qualifications: Company Secretary (CS) + Bachelor of Laws (LLB) – both mandatory
• Experience: 5–10 years in a privately held AMC/AIF with a proven track record in legal and compliance roles
• Industry Preference: Financial Services, Real Estate Asset Management

Salary/Stipend
