Details of the Job/Internship

Mathisys is hiring for the position of Compliance Officer with 3-5 years of experience to join their office in Gandhinagar. 

Role and Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance

• Monitor and ensure adherence to all relevant Indian regulations, including corporate, tax, labor, and environmental laws.
• Track and interpret regulatory changes; implement updates to compliance policies and practices.
• Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports to authorities on time.
• Audits & Risk Management
• Conduct periodic internal compliance audits and assessments.
• Identify potential areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Assess compliance risks across business functions and implement mitigation strategies.

Policy Development & Training

• Develop, update, and maintain compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance responsibilities.
• Build awareness of compliance best practices across all levels of the organization.

Governance & Advisory

• Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and external legal advisors.
• Coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, and investigations.
• Investigate compliance concerns, recommend remedial measures, and support disciplinary actions if needed.
• Advise senior management on compliance strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or certifications such as CCEP, CAMS preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs within a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of Indian regulatory frameworks and corporate governance requirements.
• Proven experience in conducting audits and compliance assessments.
