Details of the Job/Internship

Paheeya is hiring for the position of Compliance Officer with 3-7 years of experience to join their office in Belgaum, Karnataka. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve the organization’s compliance framework, policies, and internal controls.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including those set by SEBI, RBI, FEMA, GDPR, and others as applicable.
• Conduct periodic internal audits and compliance reviews to assess the effectiveness of controls.
• Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
• Prepare, maintain, and submit detailed compliance reports for senior management and relevant regulatory bodies.
• Provide ongoing training and awareness programs to employees on compliance, ethics, and risk management.
• Monitor evolving regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations.
• Investigate reported compliance concerns, policy violations, or ethical breaches and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain meticulous records of all compliance-related activities and ensure documentation readiness for audits.

Eligibility

• Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in compliance, legal, audit, or risk management roles.
• Solid understanding of Indian regulatory frameworks (SEBI, RBI, FEMA, etc.) and industry-specific guidelines.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills.
• High integrity, discretion, and a strong sense of accountability.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with compliance tracking systems.
• Preferred (Nice to Have):
• Professional qualifications such as LLB, CS, CAMS, or CCEP.
• Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, or investment sectors.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws and global compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO standards).
• Prior experience interacting with regulatory bodies such as SEBI, RBI, or IRDAI.
