Details of the Job/Internship

Polaris Smart Metering is hiring for the position of Compliance Officer with 2-5 years of experience to join their office in Jaipur.

Role and Responsibilities

• Labor Law Compliance: Monitor and enforce adherence to labor laws, including the Factory Act, Shops and Establishments Act, ESI, EPF, Bonus Act, and Gratuity Act.
• Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of statutory documentation and labor licenses.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with external consultants, government bodies, and labor departments to address compliance matters.
• Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Labor Inspections: Handle labor inspections and respond to notices or show cause issued by authorities.
• License Management: Ensure timely registration and renewal of labor-related licenses and certificates.
• Training & Updates: Provide regular training to internal teams on labor law updates and compliance requirements.
• Contract & Policy Review: Draft and review employment contracts and HR policies to ensure alignment with legal standards.
• Payroll Coordination: Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure timely deposits and filings for ESI, EPF, PT, LWF, etc.
• Compliance Reporting: Maintain trackers for statutory compliances and generate regular compliance reports.

Eligibility

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in labor law compliance or a related field.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and related regulations.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with compliance software/tools is a plus.
• Skills: Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Integrity: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
