Steptrade Capital is hiring for the position of Compliance Officer with 5 years of experience to join their office in Ahmedabad. 

Role and Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance

• Monitor, interpret, and ensure adherence to SEBI, RBI, and other applicable laws and regulations governing AIFs and PMS operations.
• Policy Management
• Develop, implement, and periodically update compliance policies, procedures, and controls in line with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Risk & Internal Audits

• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and internal audits; identify gaps, recommend corrective actions, and follow through on implementation.

Training & Awareness

• Design and deliver compliance training programs for employees to cultivate a strong compliance-first culture across the organization.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and submit timely and accurate compliance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities as required.

Regulatory Liaison

• Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders on compliance-related matters, handling queries, inspections, and audits.

Technology-Driven Monitoring

• Leverage technology and data analytics tools to strengthen compliance tracking, improve reporting accuracy, and ensure timely regulatory adherence.

Eligibility

• Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline; Company Secretary (CS) qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a compliance role within the AIF and PMS domain.
• Deep understanding of the regulatory landscape, including SEBI regulations, RBI guidelines, and AIF & PMS-specific frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage regulatory timelines, and foster collaboration across departments.
