Details of the Job/Internship
Supremus Angel is hiring a Compliance Officer with 2–5 years of experience to join their office in Thane.
Role and Responsibilities
- Monitor and stay updated with regulatory frameworks, including the Companies Act and private market guidelines.
- Track changes in laws affecting pre-IPO, private equity, and unlisted securities.
- Advise management on compliance requirements and regulatory adaptations.
- Develop and maintain internal compliance policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness.
- Act as the primary legal advisor for company operations.
- Provide legal guidance on business decisions and risk exposure.
- Identify legal risks in new initiatives, partnerships, and deal structures.
- Draft, review, and vet agreements, including NDAs, employment contracts, vendor agreements, and investor agreements.
- Modify contractual clauses to safeguard legal interests and ensure enforceability.
- Draft corporate and legal documentation as required.
- Conduct due diligence on potential investee companies, including reviewing compliance history and legal structure.
- Identify and flag legal risks prior to deal onboarding.
Eligibility
- Qualified Company Secretary (CS).
- 2–5 years of relevant experience.
