Believe is hiring a compliance specialist to join them in Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support Trade Sanctions and Anti-Corruption Compliance :
- Conduct and document thorough daily due diligence on third parties to meet regulatory standards, especially regarding Anti-Corruption and Trade Sanctions regulations.
- Identify, document and mitigate compliance risks associated with third-party relationships.
- Help refining and enhancing Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Supplier (KYS) processes.
- Support GDPR/Data Privacy Compliance:
- Run and document remote controls, conduct reviews and audits to ensure adherence to data privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to implement and monitor data protection measures.
- Job set-up & Improve Overall Efficiency:
- Set up the function locally and help documenting the due diligence and the escalation process.
- Centralize daily due diligence compliance efforts to streamline processes and enhance effectiveness.
- Work closely with the Risk and Compliance Director to foster a cohesive strategy for managing compliance risks.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving compliance procedures.
- Collaborate Across Teams:
- Engage with internal stakeholders to follow up on the due diligence and controls performed .
- Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training and awareness programs and support the promotion of a culture of compliance and risk awareness
- Interact and report several times a week with the Risk and Compliance Director based in Paris headquarter.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in law or business administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certification in compliance is a plus.
- Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or a related area, preferably in a corporate environment preferably for 4-5 years.
- Strong understanding of KYC/KYS regulations and GDPR/Data Privacy requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary/Stipend
Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
