Details of the Job/Internship

Mastering Up is hiring a Conference Convenor – Cyber Laws to join their office remotely. 

Role and Responsibilities

1. Conference Strategy & Vision

• Define the conference theme, structure, and objectives
• Focus on contemporary issues like AI regulation, data protection, digital rights, and cybersecurity laws
• Align content with global legal and privacy standards

2. Academic & Expert Collaboration

• Build a consortium of legal scholars, technologists, policymakers, and regulatory experts
• Form advisory boards, paper review committees, and session chairs
• Promote interdisciplinary synergy across law, tech, and governance

3. Paper Submission & Publication

• Issue and promote Call for Papers (CFP) to universities and institutions globally
• Oversee peer-review and editorial processes
• Partner with indexed journals and law-tech publishers for paper dissemination

4. Speaker Engagement & Programming

• Invite prominent academics, cybersecurity leaders, legal practitioners, and regulators
• Curate keynotes, expert panels, legal roundtables, and case presentations
• Ensure inclusive and global representation across all sessions

5. Event Management & Execution

• Lead logistics including venue/tech setup, hybrid facilitation, and participant registration
• Ensure smooth real-time coordination of sessions and attendee engagement
• Monitor session quality, timing, and user experience

6. Partnerships & Sponsorships

• Establish collaborations with law schools, tech firms, NGOs, and government bodies
• Secure sponsorships and institutional support
• Amplify visibility through co-branded events, workshops, and policy dialogues

7. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain records of planning, decisions, and deliverables
• Ensure adherence to legal and academic ethical standards
• Prepare post-conference reports, financial summaries, and feedback evaluations
