Details of the Job/Internship
IIHS is hiring a Consultant – Legal & Regulation with 8+ years of experience to join its Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage legal and regulatory matters, including contract drafting and review.
- Provide transactional advisory for procurement, construction, and IPR-related issues.
- Draft institutional processes and legal opinions.
- Support litigation proceedings and regulatory due diligence.
- Contribute to research on urban law and policy.
- Participate in IIHS academic, research, and institutional activities.
- Supervise and mentor junior legal staff.
- Engage with government agencies and manage legal documentation.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law with at least 8 years of relevant legal experience.
- Prior experience in the not-for-profit sector preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Strong drafting, research, and advisory skills.
- Fluent in English; working knowledge of Hindi/Kannada desirable.
- Capable of working independently and managing strict deadlines.
- Experience in interdisciplinary environments and with government agencies.
