The Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS) is hiring a Consultant/ Senior Consultant – Legal & Regulation (Higher Education) with 8–10 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Legal and regulatory analysis in higher education.
- Drafting institutional policies, legal opinions, memos, and handling litigation.
- Transactional advisory, IPR-related matters, and stakeholder consultation.
- Secondary research on urban law and policy.
- Supporting interdisciplinary academic, research, and operational activities at IIHS.
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to institution-building.
- Travel as required for work.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- 8–10 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in legal-regulatory drafting and policy issues in Higher Education.
- Fluency in English and working knowledge of Kannada/Hindi.
- Experience working with government agencies preferred.
- Strong research, drafting, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
