The Legal Swan is hiring a Consultant to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Participate in IC meetings and inquiry proceedings as an impartial third-party member.
- Support the IC in conducting fair, confidential, and timely investigations into sexual harassment complaints.
- Provide legal guidance on the POSH Act, associated rules, and relevant case laws.
- Ensure due process and principles of natural justice are upheld throughout proceedings.
- Assist in drafting inquiry reports, findings, and recommendations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and neutrality during all stages of the process.
- Offer strategic feedback to organizations on strengthening POSH implementation and workplace culture.
Eligibility
- Proficient in English (fluency in Hindi and Marathi is a plus).
- Comfortable with drafting legal opinions, reports, and related documentation.
- 5–10 years of experience in fields such as social work, legal aid, women’s rights, human rights, workplace diversity, or gender justice.
- Direct involvement in handling 5 to 10 POSH complaints and conducting 10 to 15 awareness or training sessions.
- Solid understanding of the POSH Act, 2013, its rules, and legal precedents.
