Details of the Job/Internship
Indian Institute of Management Bangalore is hiring a Consultant (Part-Time) – Court Coordination to join their offices at the Bannerghatta Campus and the IIMB School of Multidisciplinary Studies, Jigani, Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Attend court hearings on behalf of the Institute before all courts.
- Coordinate with senior and junior advocates for routine court appearances.
- Update the internal legal team on hearing outcomes, next dates, and further actions.
- Send email updates on ongoing matters and case progress.
- Prepare, update, and maintain case briefs for all legal matters.
- Collect pleadings, court orders, and related documents from advocate firms.
- Maintain legal files in a systematic and organised manner.
- Visit the Institute at least once a week and report on ongoing and upcoming hearings.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised university.
- Enrolment with the Bar Council of India is mandatory.
- Sound knowledge of Indian laws and court procedures.
- Mandatory proficiency in Kannada.
- Ability to read, write, and speak Kannada, Hindi, and English fluently.
- High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
