STAGE is hiring a Content Legal Specialist to join their office. The role involves ensuring content compliance with OTT and digital regulations, managing contracts and rights, mitigating legal risks, and guiding teams on evolving media and content laws.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Indian OTT guidelines, IT Rules 2021, self-regulation codes, advertising norms, and content-rating frameworks.
- Maintain and update internal content policies based on evolving legal requirements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with creators, production houses, talent, vendors, and platforms.
- Manage licenses, rights, clearances, and copyright documentation.
- Provide legal opinions during content development and release stages.
- Advise on risk exposure and recommend edits, disclaimers, or modifications.
- Handle legal notices, takedown requests, and grievance redressal matters.
- Stay updated on new laws, amendments, court rulings, censorship cases, and media regulations.
- Track changes in digital content laws, copyright rulings, platform liability guidelines, and grievance norms.
- Interpret new regulations and guide content and compliance teams on required adjustments.
- Conduct internal training sessions on new media and OTT-related rules.
