Details of the Job/Internship
DNV is seeking a Contract Advisor for the MEAPAC region based in Mumbai, India, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Responsibilities include managing contracts, ensuring compliance, and providing expert advice on contractual matters.
Eligibility
About You:
- Bachelors degree in law, business, paralegal qualification or relevant area is preferred but not mandatory.
- In lieu of a degree, at least (3) years experience in contract review, revision & negotiation.
- Experience in contract drafting and negotiation, including an in-depth understanding of contract provisions.
- Experience and/or demonstrably strong interest in the key industries DNV operates, especially pertaining to maritime, assurance, sustainability and ESG services would be an advantage.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required, both domestic and international
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Professional proficiency in any other commonly used business language in the region is considered an advantage, but not mandatory.
Expectations:
- Review and negotiate deviations from DNV standard templates, as well as customer terms and conditions for compliance with DNV preferred contracting position.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to provide guidance on the interpretation and application of standard DNV contracts as well as customer contracts.
- Identify commercial risks and ensure that they are communicated to and understood by stakeholders within the business.
- Act as a liaison between the business and customers in contract negotiations, including direct negotiations with customer stakeholders.
- Provide support, advice, and solutions to the project team on contractual matters.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, and build positive working relationships.
